Correlation

If Correlation test is selected and and the comparing column contains 4 or more values in the same row the correlation test is calculated. To calculate the if there is a significant significant correlation between the two comparing columns.
The correlation does not work in DOE mode because there are no pairs in this mode.

Interpretation

  • The smaller the p value is the more likely there is correlation between the two sets of data.
  • In Develve for correlation the p value must be below 0.05. Alway check the correlation graph
  • To see what the relation between the data sets check the Regression result.

Colors of the cells

  • Green No significant correlation
  • Yellow Significant correlation
CorrelationNo correlation

Formula for calculating the correlation r value.

formula

Formula to convert the r to the student t value

formula

With the t value and the degrees of freedom minus 2 can the program interpolate the p value out of the t table.

Example

Between datasets A and D is a correlation (Row Correl p <0.05).
