Important:

+++ Installation using Windows' "extract" function

If you use Windows' built-in "extract" function to unpack the downloaded ZIP file, first "unblock" the ZIP file (right mouse click, Properties / General tab, bottom). Otherwise, all files will be blocked for security reasons, which may cause problems like the help file issue (see below).

No problems with other ZIP tools.

+++ Windows Vista, 7, 8, 10:

Please install in a folder OUTSIDE "Program Files"!

This portable program keeps configuration data in the program folder by default(*), however, this is not allowed within the "Program Files" structure. In this case Windows would redirect the INI file to a "VirtualStore" folder (under "Users"), which is a little cumbersome to locate for modifications.

(*) It is also possible to use a data folder of your choice (see help for more information).

+++ PopSel Demo

For a demonstration of PopSel's features double click on "RunDemo" or drag&drop the file "System.lst" on PopSel.exe. The Demo offers quick access to Windows utilities.

To enter the configuration window for the Demo menu click outside or Escape.

The Demo only uses variable or relative paths, so it should run on any computer without modifications.

For details see PopSel Help.
Double click on PopSel.exe to start making your own menu.
Use drag&drop (into left listbox) for quick results.

Note: Some features, like the activation of icons, require command parameters
(in a desktop shortcut, for example). See Help: PopSel Setup / Command parameters.

++ Help file issue

If the built-in help shows blank pages, make sure to UNcheck "Always ask before opening this file"
when the Windows security warning pops up. Just clicking on the "Open" button will NOT do!
