			VideoMan 0.8

Features:

	# Player support: videoMan now works directly with three
video players. BSPlayer, Zoom Player and Media Player
Classic. Go to Edit -> Options -> Player to set
your favorite. If you use a different player, videoMan
will continue to work as before.
Once you have selected a Player, you can set the Player
Path by clicking on 'Search' which will search the C:\
drive the executable. Or, you can click on 'Browse' and
	find it yourself.
Warning: Once you have selected your Player, set your
Player Path and tweaked your Player Options just so, click
on 'Save' before you click on 'Ok'.
Tested with MPC 6.4.8.2, Zoom 4.0.2, BSP 1.00.810

	# Multiple file support. To use, your files must be named
exactly the same with -CD(1-9).(avi|mpg|...) at the end.
	Example: Shrek-CD1.avi, Shrek-CD2.avi, Subtitled movies
follow the same rule with Shrek-CD1.srt and Shrek-CD2.srt.
All files must be in the same directory.

	# MPAA rating. By default this filter is turned off. To turn
on, go to the 'View' menu item and set the MPAA rating to
the desired level. Once on, only those movies at that level
and below will be shown. This works with, Find, Remind and
the standard display. Note: this filter is only active on
the main page. The View, Edit Add-by. subpanels can still
see all movies. For a higher level of control over what
minors might have access to, I suggest installing videoman
	twice, under different logins.

	# Find. Enter in your search key in the text box and click find.
Note that this feature is case sensitive.

	# Seen, If you would like to view your movie list on the
main page without seeing the movies you have checked seen,
go to the 'View' menu and uncheck 'seen'

	# Remind, To see the list across all genres but with MPAA
filter, if turned on, Go to 'View' menu and check the
	remind box.

	# IMDB search. For faster more accurate IMDB searches, you
can now use the IMDB key id on the Add Movie page. If this
field is populated, videoMan will use that instead of the
Title field when gathering the IMDB data.

	# Export to/Import from TSV. Data is exported as a three column
separated file. Order is filename, movie Title, IMDB key. Not
all fields are required but import works better with at least
two of the three fields. If IMDB key is included, videoman will
go to IMDB.com and gather the data during import.

	# Export to HTML, you can now export your data to a formatted HTML
file. You have two choices, a simple line output or a more complete
view output. Options are given to define content and display
order. Found on the File menu.

	# QueryDB, to view database statistics, go to View -> QueryDb. On
the left hand side you will find various pre-packaged DB reports
that you can view. For those that know SQL, I've included an
SQL mode where you can enter your own queries.

Update: videoManUpd-bin_0.8.zip

NOTE: This update will replace your MovieData.mdb
database file. Upon first execution, your old data
will be transferred to the new database. Also your
properties file will be updated and save. Once
complete, the MovieData.mdb and menus.prop files in
your data directory are no longer required.

Upon completion of update from the old to new database
a report, updReport.txt, will be left in your top
	level videoMan directory.

Using WinZip or similar tool, extract files to your
VideoMan destination directory.	Execute the run.bat
	file, ex. C:\VideoMan>run.bat

As with any application update, it is a good idea to keep a
	backup copy before overwriting.

New Installation: videoManFull-bin_0.8.zip

	Create destination directory, ex. C:\Videoman
Using WinZip or similar tool, extract files to
	created destination directory.
Go to destination directory, ex. C:\cd> C:\VideoMan
Execute the run.bat file, ex. C:\VideoMan>run.bat

Please read the License file found in the 'doc' directory,
	ex. C:\VideoMan\doc\License.txt

To set a desktop icon: Using Explorer in the destination
directory, right click on the run.bat file and then
left click on 'Send to'-> Desktop. Once on the
desktop, right click on the short cut, left click on
properties. Set Target to the full path to the
run.bat file, ex, C:\VideoMan\run.bat. Set Start In:
to the destination directory, ex. C:\VideoMan
From this same properties page, you can set a custom
icon. The VideoMan icon, named vidman.ico, can be
found in the doc directory. Click on Change Icon,
Ok to pass then warning screen, then Browse.

Getting Started:
    Loading VideoFiles into VideoMan
Step one: Tell videoMan which directories on your
	system contain movie(.avi|.mpg) files.

Click on the 'Edit' menu item
		Click on the 'Options' item
Click on 'Movie File Directories' button

For each directory to add, click on the
'Add' button and use provided page to locate
directories on your system that contain
		avi/mpg files.

Step two: Add movie files to database
		Click on 'File' Menu
Click on 'Add by Directory' Menu item

From the provided panel, select a directory
		from the combo-box pick.
		Click on 'Select'.

A new page pops up, on the left are all the movie
files from selected directory not currently listed in
	the VideoMan DataBase.

The fastest input method is to use the 'Add All' button
on top of the list. Then go back to the
main page and click on 'Edit' ,'Edit Movie Data' to add
	the IMDB information.

Items will not appear on the main page until they
have the IMDB information added. This is done by
clicking on the 'Get IMDB info' button on the
'Edit Movie Data' page. This button retrieves
information from the 'Internet Movie Data Base'.
It's search is based on the information in the
"Title:' field. VideoMan will pre-populate this field
based on the filename of the chosen entry. This
assumes that the file name has a close resemblance
to the title of the movie. Depending on the title,
one or more possible entries will be listed in a
sub window. Choose the one the seems to be correct
and click on 'Select'. Also, the fields on the Edit
page can be populated by hand.
The Edit page form will be populated, if it is the
correct information, click on 'Update DB' and then
you can proceed to the next title. If it is not correct,
click on 'Get IMDB info' again and/or modify the Title:
	field to modify the search.
Once a few movies have been added, from main page
	select a 'Search By' key.

For Home movies or others that may not have IMDB
information, use the 'Edit Movie Data' and populate
the fields by hand. Each movie entry must have at
least the Title and Genre field populated to appear
on the main panel page. When entering by hand you must
ensure that the Genre field matches on of the choices
available in the 'Search By' combo-box on the main menu.
